摘要:In this talk, we will present an efficient frameworkalgorithm for interface related optimization problems，where theinterface is implicitly represented by indicator functions. Based onthe indicator function representation,we construct a concaveapproximation and relaxation to the original problem and develop anunconditional stable algorithm. Many applications including imagesegmentation，fluid flow optimization,flow network formation, andheat sink design will be discussed.

简介:Dong Wang is an Assistant Professor in theSchool of Science and Engineering at the Chinese University ofHong Kong (Shenzhen). He has broad interests in analytical andcomputational methods for problems in applied mathematics,especially in computational fluid dynamics,computational materialscience, image processing, optimization and machine learning.Afterreceiving his Bachelor degree in Mathematics from SichuanUniversity in 2013,Dong earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematicsat the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2017.Before moving to CUHK(SZ),he was an Assistant ProfessorLecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah.
